Picks of the Weekend:  September 28,29

Fall is my favorite time of year because there are so many options of things to do with the family outdoors.
See the HOME CALENDAR tab for complete details on these events.

Make your weekend Kid Worthy!

Saturday-only Events 9/28

10am - 10pm:  Rock the Park in Keller

  • Great event at Bear Creek Park in Keller
  • Tons of outdoor activities:  bounce houses, arts, crafts, etc
  • Food trucks, vendors, games and activities.  Fun for all!

10am - 12noon:  LEGO Create and Take at Toys R Us (Star Wars!)

  • FREE make and take with Star Wars LEGO this week
  • At your local Toy R Us.
  • This is an event that my boys wouldn't miss!

Weekend Events 9/28 and 9/29

10am - 9pm: The State Fair of Texas
  • This is the opening weekend for the fair!
  • Football game on Saturday the 28th at 2:30pm ( Army vs Louisiana Tech )
  • Because of the Football game on Saturday, I would consider going on Sunday.
  • Only the final weekend of the fair is without a football game: Oct 19 and 20.

9am - 5pm: Dallas Arboretum
  • Check out The Children's Adventure Garden that opened last Saturday.
  • A trip to Arboretum should be on your bucket list for Autumn.
  • If not this weekend, try Wednesdays for a buy one get one free discount.
  • Remember that local pumpkin patches open next weekend, so now is the perfect time to take your trip to The Dallas Arboretum.

LEGOLAND Discovery Center
September Annual Pass Sale

This month LEGOLAND Discovery Center at Grapevine Mills is having a sale.  If you have kids ages 2-7 who love LEGO, you should consider taking advantage of this.
Annual Passes:  $35 per person, or $135 for a family of 4.
Passes include:
Toddler Tuesdays
Star Wars Weekends
10% off at the LEGO shop and on birthday parties
Multiple opportunities to bring a friend for free on certain weekends
Unlimited access to the great LEGO activities inside
20% off in the Cafe
Brick or Treat on Halloween
and other special events throughout the year.

Walkup prices for admission run $15 for kids and $19 per adult.

So here is my dilemma:
Last year in November my family purchased annual passes for the first time.  The cost was just $25 per person plus tax.  So I wonder if I should gamble and wait, or is this the best price we will see this year?
Our family has enjoyed LEGOLAND Discovery Center so much, that this price is a bargain!
